Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Ohio Department of Health Director Stephanie McCloud has issued a new consolidated health order. The order emphasizes wearing masks at all times at indoor locations that are not residences, outdoors when 6 feet of distance cannot be maintained and guidelines for group gatherings (groups of 10 people or less at events. Those groups need to be 6 feet apart.) This simplified health order streamlines previous orders into a single order that underscores the most important aspects of infection prevention. The Order is attached. Stay safe and stay well. Despite the vaccines, cases of Covid 19 continue to spread among the non-vaccinated. Do your best to get scheduled and vaccinated as soon as possible. Please be mindful of yourself and others as we continue to combat the disease.
HIGH SCHOOL VACCINATIONS:
Local health departments and vaccine providers that are offering the Pfizer vaccine have also been asked to coordinate with local high schools to offer vaccinations to high school students who are 16 or older. (Pfizer is the only vaccine that is currently approved for children as young as 16.) Vaccinations have been started in nearly 32 percent of Ohioans, which is more than 3.7 million. If you have not yet scheduled your vaccine, there are many locations and increased availability. Please see the links below.
